A little about the holidays...

My holidays were largely enjoyable. I flew back to Indiana to visit family, friends, and my girlfriend. I got a lot of great books for Christmas (Gaiman, Pratchett, Hobb, Greenspan) which is what I had hoped. I also got a bluetooth earpiece, which, for me, is invaluable. It allows me to do chores or work on the computer while I talk on the phone. I spent some quality time with all my extended family, who I get to see quite rarely. I also got to spend a lot of time with my girlfriend, Ashley, and her two beautiful children. For New Years, I was able to meet and spend time with all of her close friends. My only setback was a cold that slowed me down for a few days, but that's to be expected with a Midwest winter storm. I also went with my parents to see the movie Charlie Wilson's War, which was fantastic, but more on that later when I catch up on my movie reviews
