I suppose I should announce that I officially have a new job. I will be working as an IT consultant with
Pacific Technologies in Bellevue, WA. It's an exciting and somewhat entrepreneurial venture that should significantly leverage my MBA knowledge and experience. (Speaking of, I just received the actual degree in the mail!) It will take me some time to adjust to the commute and, at some point, I may consider moving closer, but this offer was significantly more attractive than any of my other opportunities. I enjoy experiencing downtown Tacoma's continual development and my current lease runs through November anyway.
The new work schedule, if you're curious, is reflected on my

. You should all create one. Though I haven't determined my preferred method for commuting, I will be available by phone during that time and possible via Internet if I ride the Sounder Commuter Rail (likely). I will sorely miss noon volleyball and the strength circuit at the YMCA, but I'll find other ways to schedule in my exercise.
So, there it is - a new chapter in the life of Mike.
Cheers everyone,
Mike

Congratulations on the new job. Give us updates on the commute as you experience it.
Definitely, I intend to give very specific feedback about the commute as I have been a critic of regional transit for the past few years.
Congrats on the job. Good luck on the commute.
